learn to play the violin

My other half bought me a violin and arranged lessons for my last birthday. I’d mentioned a good many times that it was something I’d wanted to do since I was a child, but never got the chance, so it was a pretty good present. The violin teacher turned out to be crap, and there are no other teachers in the local area willing to teach an adult. So, I’m going it alone with a couple of beginners books. Its bloody hard work, but I can actually get a few tunes out of it now. Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star and Frere Jacques being the easiest.
