progress... 8 months ago

a few days ago I finished breaking down most of the packing boxes I use as small tables in the garage. The garage also known as the bicycle building studio, now houses a new work bench. Most of my bike tools, equipment and parts are now in order. No more brining in tasks in the house. Everything can now be worked on the table right beside the bike stand.

there is one more corner i have to tackle that houses some unwanted household items and a few packing materials. it will be dealt with soon.

i think the trick here is to enjoy and celebrate what one has accomplished for a while and prepare for the next clutter battle in the horizon.

Purge! 9 months ago

I started purging today. I noticed that I am running out of table top. I’ve cleared out things in my kitchen that I’m not using at all. Now I’m happy I can see clear and clean spaces.

While tackling the clutter, I’m reorganizing as well.

whew! Happy clean up. 21 months ago

Extra clothing and items I seldom use were bagged and ready for donation. I also cleaned my whole place. I got so many bottles I collected for reusable containers (instead of plastic tubs and bags). I put a limit on how many I will save, of course I saved the ones that are nice and practical like mason jars. I also rearranged my pantry to display my favorite kitchen items like my mocajete and glazed jars. My teas and coffees are in one area with my old wind up coffee grinder.

In the bathroom, I put in new rubber mats under the rugs so it won’t be slippery. Assembled two wine crates for towels and a heavy iron candle holder displayed on top.

Everything is in order for now and I like it. To celebrate, I lit up stick of patchouli and played some tunes on my guitar.

Happy!

Clean up 22 months ago

I spent the whole day cleaning up my place. It was a major cleaning job. When ever I do this, I tend to rearrange things, so I take my time.

Next will be the bathroom tomorrow after work.

ping! (the sound of clean)

T shirts 2 years ago

Whow! I have so many T shirts… most of them given to me. I have 2 bags for the thrift store and 2 bags for rag conversions. I need a couple of new towels though.

thursday chore – rearrange all the books I like to have on my shelf. Make a a reading pile by my bed.

monitor the walk in closet. “ahah! now you’re under surveillance.”

these little things... 2 years ago

small clutter and they can be material or immaterial. I am currently struggling to iron out all those unseen clutter. It’d be easy if my procrastination is the only obstacle, but if there is something holding it beyond my control, then it’s just naggingly difficult to push through and get these things done. I consider them a challenge and I will push through.

I am pretty much satisfied with the material items I have here in my small apartment. If they don’t have character or at least support another object’s existence, they’re gone. That is why I have no plastic in my place except for the usual bottle caps on the condiments. I am very happy to get rid of them.

clutter are... 2 years ago

not just the objects around the house. I will simultaneously purge those and the ones that are within.

I took care of one this morning and a burden has been lifted.

whew!

Oh yeah!!! 2 years ago

I can see a few things that should not be in this home right now, or I have too much of. It’s time to purge.
