I just decided to SEE more — 10 months ago
In the speed in which we travel these days. One can only recognize what is around you at the starting point of the journey and the end destination. The idea here is to see more of what happens or the scenery that is in between these two points… at the speed of a bicycle.
I took my bicycle around San Francisco again yesterday, across from the Mission to the Financial District to South of Market, back to North Beach through Crissy Field and the Presidio down to Ocean Beach and through the Golden Gate Park. I took sometime to breathe in the natural beauty of this park before I head off for Duboce triangle and into a bike shop at 14th and Guerrero to window shop.
This is all out of curiosity and the cost of a couple of dozen of sliced salami, a bottle of water and small olive bread the size of my fist from Acme bread in the ferry building. I got to see a number of small shops and of course a few of my favourite places. On my way back, I stopped by the neighborhood library and a cup of double espresso.
I can only say that there is more to see in this fine city. At a cruising speed of a bicycle, one can only cherish it more.
