Make money doing something I love.

Booked my first two voice-over jobs! It’s much better money than theater! Just need to increase my booking frequency! ...And audition frequency. Need to get with Voice 123 and/or get an agent!

I’ve been going to more auditions. And taking classes while I’m making decent money at this same old day job. It’s all about frame of mind. If you can do enough things that make you happy, you can tolerate certain things. Well, actually it’s been slow lately, so I think that’s why it’s not so bad. One of the classes I’ve taken is a voice-over class. It was fun, and now I’m taking individual coaching sessions, which are expensive. But eventually I’d like to get a demo tape made. It IS fun! If I could make some money at this….I think I’d be happy!

My day job allows me to go to auditions on my lunch hour, and gives me a salary to afford acting classes. I have health insurance. I like my supervisor and coworkers. But I just am not enjoying myself. The work is so dull! But if I do something I enjoy, maybe I’ll be less motivated to go after my acting stuff. Well, I’m not really going after it now. I don’t know. Day jobs for actors…anyone? I don’t do waitressing. I hate to make less money for something I don’t like! Smile and nod and try not to suffocate! If I could work part time and make more money. I could try and freelance, but then my energy would be put toward keeping my hours and clients…Sigh. Nothing’s ever simple. And the grass is always greener.
