Goal setting
Well, just got back from a week-long camping trip and junk food was the menu of choice. But while I was gone, I set myself some new goals to not only keep the weight off that I’ve lost, but drop the last few 20 or so. Goals include: 2 strength training sessions per week, 2 hard cardio, 5 easy cardio sessions per week. Four meals a day + dessert. No alcohol, which seems to have gotten me off course lately. And I want to try something new – maybe try yoga again now that I’m smaller.
Note that none of these goals are out of my control (e.g., I’ll lose 10 pounds this month – hard to control!). All behaviorial goals, which is what works for me. Any goals you’re setting?

On my way...

Since June 2006, I’ve gone from 327 to 182.5 pounds. You can check out my journey on wwww.sparkpeople.com (I’m chris2365 there too). No magic secret, it’s calories in, calories out. But if you really work at it, you can find a plan that’s fun, yes fun. Really.

Since June of 2006, I’ve dropped just over 100 pounds. It’s been a fabulous time. I haven’t gone on a “diet,” I just found a plan that worked for me (self-designed) eating healthy, delicious food frequently. I still have about another 50 pounds to go, but it’s coming off and I know I’ll get to my “happy weight.” I rock!
