I’m at 180 right now and have been for the past 3 weeks. I’m having trouble getting active because my hip and leg have been aching and making it hard to walk and work out. The chiro has helped a lot, and I hope to get back to work soon. My next goal is 170 by the end of March.

I’m going to do this this year, I’d like to lose 50lbs by my birthday (12-25). I signed up for a free SparkPeople account last month, and the food and exercise tracking seem to be helping. I’m also going to try to eat clean, cut refined sugar and processed foods from my diet. I started at 182, went up to 185, and now I’m down to 181. I hope to be able to get below 180 by the end of the month. I haven’t been under 180 in years, so 179 will be a major thing for me.
I stalled out for a bit on this goal. I was on my way to losing again when I got hit with a ton of stress (the barn burned down, some camera equipment (lights) blew up, massive snowstorm, a foal died, and more) so I got a little distracted. I’m back on track now, my weight on Monday was 188.6. This current snow storm will make my daily walk/jog unsafe and not fun, so I’ll have to think of indoor exercises to do. Eating better hasn’t been easy, but I think I’m getting better at it.
I had a previous goal ‘lose weight/get in shape. It worked and it didn’t. I did lose 15 pounds earlier this year, and pretty much stayed at that weight. I hit a plateau, and wasn’t working very hard to get past it.
I decided I need a more specific goal, to lose 50 pounds before my birthday next year, which should put me at around 140 pounds. It gives me a little over a year, and I think losing 50 pounds in a year is pretty attainable.
