We’re really getting things under control from the transient we had last year when kid #2 came along. In another month I think everything will be in the groove, and I’ll be able to mark this done.

About a year ago my wife and I sat down over a weekend and did this whole 31 Days to Fix Your Finances in a weekend. Then baby #2 came along on Tuesday, and it all fell by the wayside.
Now we’re getting back to it, but actually going about it in 31 days. So we just did day 2 tonight. I think we’re going to go through it once a year, just to touch up.
With better time management I’ve started doing a little bit of catchup each day with getting receipts entered, staying on top of accounts, etc.
I’m hoping to get to a point where I have a habit of catching up the money each day with the previous day’s transactions, so I’m always current to yesterday on all accounts.
Once I get there, I will be able to do better get a handle on expenses and know where all the cash is flowing.
I just realized that almost all money management issues I have are really time management issues. When time management fails, I get behind in keeping track of cash flow and other money management tasks.
So I’m not sure if I should keep this as a separate goal or not.
