go camping

I’m out camping with my daughter now, so I’m marking this done. We had a campfire with s’mores (1 match – I’ve still got it), for which my wife and 1 yr old joined us.

After a couple of thrilling games of “Go Fish” in the tent, we’re turning in for the night.

Now, will the thunderstorms blow in before morning?

due to scheduling conflicts. And now my nephew won’t be able to make it, so it will just be me and my daughter.

I’ve moved things up to June 14th from the 21st so I can bring my 6yr old nephew along. So it should be a fun night with the two kids.

Good thing I started thinking about this now – the first available weekend in our family schedule is not until June 21!

I think I’ll pencil this in for the night of May 10, weather permitting.

Even though it’s been in the 80s (F) during the day, it’s dropping below 50 at night now, so I guess this one goes on the back burner until Spring.

I’ve been trying to take my three year old out camping all summer. We’ve managed our backyard, and a friend’s backyard, so now I want to go to a nearby National Park for a night.

The real trick is scheduling it. I think it’s getting a bit late in the year now, unfortunately, so this may have to wait until next summer.
