Ok…so call it cheating…but I have found a possible solution for my dog….
my son who is also very high energy has taken to walking her the past few days, and the poor ol’ doggie is suddenly going for between 2 to 4 walks around a large block per day. It is a good relationship. If it keeps up, I just may cross this one off my list!

I’ve decided I need to make it a routine to take my doggie for her walk the moment I walk through the door to come home….rain or shine. That way in the winter months it will still be light enough to keep the routine.
She was spoiled while on her “doggie vacation” at my folks by getting 2 walks per day, and sometimes more. I need to at least stick with 1 per day to keep this ‘ol 10 yr old doggie moving!

Sent my doggie on vacation during the house showing and she is getting spoiled with 2 walks a day. I am in for it when she returns!

Happy dog has gotten two walks in so far this week! Took my son and he was proud of being able to hold her leash as we walked.

Was able to sneak in a short walk this morning, and the doggie was very happy! When I pulled out the leash, she grabbed it from me as if to say, “no, I’m going to walk YOU!”

Dog got to go for a walk this afternoon with hubby and son. So…I didn’t do it, but I think it still counts as a point towards the goal and my Australian Cattle Dog’s happiness and well being!

The weather has been crummy lately and my poor doggie has cabin fever. I need to get her out and take her for walks at least 3 times a week. She is getting older and arthritic, so this is critical to keep her in good health and happy.
