I love this picture as it reflects perfectly how I feel and actually looks quite a bit like me, relaxing on the sofa with a good book. My favorite pastime!!

This pic combines two of my favorites…Van Gogh and the Seattle skyline. I love the warmth and fun the picture gives.
Elton Bennett, Pacific Northwest Artist had a way of capturing the dreary days of the Pacific Northwest and appreciating the beauty in it like no other. Often, as I am driving home with my family late on a clear summer night and see the sun setting behind the Black Hills and Olympic Mountains, the black outlines of the jagged fir trees, and birds flying in the distance, I say, “that looks just like a Bennett!”

One of my all time favorite Alaskan artists, Rie Munoz, I have always loved for her color, sense of style, creativity, and humor that goes into her work. I also love how she captures the Northwest style so well, and her love of painting things that are familiar to me in my life…orcas, seagulls, bears, huckleberries, eagles, water and mountains, and occasionally babushkas.

Another I love, Champs-Elysees by Bo Brannhage. This picture has a mystical romantic quality to it that reminds me of being a kid and playing in a “tent” draped over chairs and tables. Sparks the imagination!
I can’t find the exact prints of John Powell I love, but here is a sample from art.com
I love the rich colors he uses and the eclectic style depicted in most of his paintings matches my decorating style very well. I feel like I could make myself right at home inside one of his paintings!
