Savor the Compliments I get

This one really touched my heart. Especially because it was annonymously given to me via FB.

My current boss. Originally I was supposed to work here temporarily from June 16 – July 2. She has extended me each week and now has convinced another department head to hire me on for the rest of the summer and the rest of the school year.

Joking with my mom about her being a reference for my student loan, I asked her to rank me on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the most responsible. She ranked me a 10. I asked her if she was just saying that because that’s what I wanted to hear, but she reassured me that no it was because she thought I was very responsible.

That felt good. :)

Said by one of my co-workers. Interestingly enough, he and I hated eachother when he started. But it was all a cultural misunderstanding and once I gave him a second chance, it turned out that he’s a pretty cool guy and we got along really well.

Leaving work has prompted my co-workers to say such nice things to me. Kinda makes me want to quit all the time ;).

Wow. This felt so good to hear and especially because the sentiment was reciprocal. I’ve had amazing conversations with this person that I met through work. I felt so good about this.
