This is very related to a couple of my other goals… namely “Move Out of California” and “Take the 100 Thing Challenge.” We are only taking one car, and it is not going to be mine! Which means I have to learn how to drive stick QUICK!

I think after 20 hours I’ll feel comfortable to drive on my own. That’s a daunting task, though! Driving my husband’s car is SO INTIMIDATING…
My fiance is going to give me more lessons today… we sort of left this off MONTHS ago and I haven’t been behind the wheel of a manual since. I think my dad’s plumbing ‘seminar’ and learning how to clean the sink trap inspired him. Gotta teach Ciara more life skills before she’s all married and on her own…
So here we go! Wish me luck. =)
My boyfriend gave me a short lesson on the basics today… he said I did pretty well! I only stalled out a couple of times… I get flustered. =P It’s frustrating, but I really want to be able to drive his car, so we’re gonna continue. =)
...especially since my boyfriend drives (and loves) a stick shift. =P It’d be nice to be able to drive his car around (even more so considering it’ll be our car someday… =D). He wants to teach me, I’ve just been reluctant because I don’t exactly want to spend my free afternoons learning to drive all over again. =P But, it’s gotta happen sooner rather than later.
