I’ve done my First AFF and second AFF jumps this past weekend. It is a wicked wild ride that I recommend everyone at least doing a tandem in their lifetime. I look forward to building on the skills I have learned thus far and taking this into my A licensure.

It will certainly change your perspective.

We rose a little before 6am on Saturday getting our things together to head down to Skydive Carolina in Chester, SC. I was scheduled for an 8am AFF (Assisted Free Fall) class to start my multitude of jumps to aquire a class A skydiving license. We arrived on schedule and it was going to be a beautiful day. Clear skies, light breeze, and a cool morning…man it felt good. Signing away all liability, putting down a chunk of change for lessons, jump, A/V recordings, and a USPA membership I was ready to begin.

Unfortunatly this was not the weekend to be as the winds gusted too high for us to jump. The rest of my article can be read here.

It’s been on my list for over two years. September 23rd begins my AFF training. I’m so excited and nervous wheeee!

I caught myself at Sky Dive Carolinas today. Looking at their tandum and quick courses. I just can’t justify 200 bucks. Need to see if any groups are doing it and drive it down.

Wonder when, with cooler weather here, how cool is too cool?
