I heard the following 5 tips for controlling sugar cravings. I thought I would write them down here as a reminder for myself and for anyone else who might find them helpful:
- Decrease salt intake. (Apparently a high salt diet is an indicator of someone with a sugar addiction.)
- Don’t overeat. It causes sluggishness and your body seeks sugar for energy.
- Don’t stress. The body seeks sugar to soothe. (Easy for them to say!)
- Don’t skip meals.
- Exercise!
