I spent a lot of time today designing a stained glass window. Not necessarily to make, but just because I’m interested in geometric patterns. I got myself some graph paper and just drew the same design over and over again, each time changing it and improving it a little bit. I was utterly absorbed in it all afternoon. It was a little bit art nouveau inspired (but not as good).

I’m not sure about this one. Now that I’m home, I could get started on a stained-glass window. Where I’m living now there is a bathroom window I could do and my grandmother has agreed to help me with it and let me use her shed. BUT… I’m not sure that I want to keep living where I’m living. I’m tempted just to go ahead and make it anyway because if I end up moving out then I can just give it to him as a present. It will give me something to do and the opportunity to learn a new (and relatively useless!) skill.
