so…have I improved in a year?
good stuff i NOW do:
walk or take the tram
recycle glass, paper, card, clothing
now recycle plastic
put the wasing machine on a low temperature
live in a small house
i use a clothesline not a clothes drier
i use cfl bulbs on a few lights
compost food waste
try not to i fill the kettle too full
try not to leave things on ‘standby’
bad stuff i STILL do:
take baths not showers (we still don’t HAVE a shower yet..soon.)
i eat meat or eggs once a day
i use a lot of ‘packaged’ food
so..yes, I’ve improved a tiny bit.

IN COMPARISON, THE AVERAGE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT IN YOUR COUNTRY IS 5.3 GLOBAL HECTARES PER PERSON.
WORLDWIDE, THERE EXIST 1.8 BIOLOGICALLY PRODUCTIVE GLOBAL HECTARES PER PERSON.
IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 1.9 PLANETS.
almost 2 planets?!that is not very good. i guess i am fairly low on ‘mobiltity’ cos i walk or take public transport. i just know if i had money i would be using cars, planes, taxis etc! so it is poverty and not conscience that makes me seem good on that section! i suppose i could improve by changing my food and goods/services habits. only my boyfriend LOVES red meat. hmm…
