got my results and I passed both my courses yay and now I’m booked up for 2 level 3 chemistry courses starting in February. This will be my penultimate year, fingers crossed.

Yay I’ve finished both my exams for this year and fingers crossed have done enough to pass. Now I have to decide whether to do 1 or 2 courses next year. 2 courses this year has been hard, but then I haven’t enjoyed the content. Perhaps 2 courses will be easier when I actually like the content? Plus I have friends who are university lecturers in the relevant field and can help me out if stuck. And if I take only 1 course next year, it takes me an extra year to finish my degree. On the other hand it will obviously be less expensive, less stressful and have less impact on my family if I only do 1 course next year. So I don’t know what to doooooooooooooooooo …........
that is the minimum time I am going to study for, half an hour a day. Of course lots of the time I will have to study more than this but it’s to get me started and keep me going. I have been slacking off, having days and days of doing nothing and then trying to catch up in one Big Push. I am not enjoying my current courses much but I have to grit my teeth and get through them, they have already cost me a lot of time and money and to give up now would add at least a year on to the time it will take me to ever graduate.
So I will commit to getting the books out every day, for at least half an hour at a time, to get the momentum going again.
I now have 140 OU points (roughly equivalent to one year full time university study) plus some credit transfer. Passed last year’s course with distinction. Waiting for my books to arrive for this year’s courses (2 x geology).
Got my assignment in, at last. I think I have done enough to pass this year and as it’s first year, the marks don’t count for your overall degree classification.
Just another 4 years (at least) to go
I have my final assignment to finish. It has to be in the post tomorrow morning at the absolute latest, or I fail the whole course. So I am here on 43things instead. Aargh. Why is this so feckin hard?
I’m behind already. had a chat with my tutor tonight, agreed to submit something even if it’s a long long way from perfect for my long overdue assingmennt, and move on to the next set of materials.
yay my course materials arrived today, two course mailings in one go. I’m already behind but I’ve spoken to my tutor who seems v nice. Just gotta finish a pile of work that pays the rent then I can get stuck into those shiny new books!

plus some credit transfer to make up the remaining points needed.
Well I’m all registered for my course, just waiting for the course materials to arrive. I’ve seen the course calendar on-line (and entered all the key dates in my outlook and my filofax woo just call me organised) and I’m going to have some catching up to do. There’s an essay due next week which obviously I’m not going to be able to do on time.
Can’t wait to get my hands on those lovely new course books!
