I’m half way through my degree now, only (!) another 3 years to go before I can apply for teacher training. I just found out about the student associate scheme, where you can get some classroom experience to find out if it’s really what you want to do, so that’s my next action: find out more about student assocciate scheme and apply

I have to get a degree first tho, and that’s going to take me a few years with distance learning. Then i have to get onto a PGCE course. For now I am helping out one morning a week in my son’s class, and loving it.
