have a minimum weekend away break every 3 months

Everything seems to come in fits and starts! There are months and months when we don’t get to, and then land up being away 2 weekends in a row. I would like the away weekends to be more evenly spaced becuase it is way more relaxing that way. I’m still working on this one I guess!

still going well, and doing it which is quite amazing. Last went away weekend at the April begining May.

Just got back from a long weekend (wed to sun) at a nature reserve and dam about 4 hours drive away. took some inflatible canoes, and even though it was winter, the kids had a ball. my one, and my cousins 4 spent all the time they could on the dam, while us adults lazed about the shore with books. lucky for us we had sunny weather the whole time! if the snow/rain had come in it wouldn’t have been too pleasant with 4 boys and 1 girl (all between 8-13) cooped up inside :)
