become an illustrator

someone is requesting me to illustrate an album for them. I guess that qualifies a little bit. Also, after much hinting, I am doing a portrait of my sisters family for her and his birthday. That’s kinda illustrating

I’m wanting to join the Illustrator’s group. According to a bunch of websites by successful illustrators I’ve checked out, this is a must almost. I illustrated a book not too long ago, but found out that I (we) went about it the wrong way. She, the writer, should have submitted her stuff without my work, and I need to contact publishers etc… Oh well, at least I have some of the work to show.
