I’ve been working on an idea for a graphic novel since the end of last summer, and I’ve developed it to a point where I’d be able to have a complete prologue and perhaps a finished first chapter (page numbers would vary depending on format, of course). The idea sprouted in my head after taking a course in Greek mythology my Freshman year, and I continued developing it as I continued studying various other aspects of mythology, including Roman and Norse myths. It’s all come together in a somewhat futuristic/post-modern world with a story I’m fairly happy with.
The only problem is that my drawing skills are incredibly lackluster, especially for the type of art style I want for this graphic novel. My girlfriend – who’s an Art major – agreed to do the artwork for it, but she’s currently going through a bit of an artistic slump, so we’ve put it on hold for now.
Still, I’d love to get this off the floor and either publish it in a book form or put it up online as a webcomic.
