One of the most important things: testing, testing, testing. Don’t release just the smallest bit of your software until you haven’t made sure that it really works (or you call the whole stuff a web 2.0 app ;-) ).
The time it would take you to test your software is zero compared to the time it takes you to answer all emails and forum posts, concerning your non-tested software.

I’m really improving. I am familiar with php again and I’m currently learning C#. I can’t say I really like it but in combinition with .net and VS.net it’s the fastest way to create programs and gui’s.

I started programming about three or four years ago with Delphi 5 and reached an advanced level (started using DirectX,...). Then I learned some PHP and now I have a new goal: C# .NET. I need this for my study at University of Applied Sciences.
Already made some basic programs (Hello World, some text file manipulation) but I have to improve a lot.
