and I really felt excited about the day and glad to be alive. Now if I can just do that before work! :P

Had a couple of good mornings this week. One day I woke up in a fairly agreeable mood and got a lot done that day, even though I didn’t get up at the time I wanted to. Another day this week I woke up just a minute before my alarm went off (I’ve done that before and it baffles me). I was in a good mood that day too and got a lot done again. I guess you just have to have good intentions about it. I have a theory that if you’re unable to bring yourself to do something (quit smoking, ask for a raise, etc.) then it means you don’t really want it yet.
I reordered my goals today in a more logical order with the daily things first, then weekly and other short-term things, then what I want to do in the next year or so, and finally life-long goals. I put this one first because waking up happy is the first thing I have a chance to do every day.
I’m a person who tends to wake up gradually. I set the alarm about an hour before I really want to get up and usually hit the snooze button three or four times at ten minutes a pop.
I suspect waking up happy involves getting a good night’s sleep the night before. I woke up in a decent mood and was fairly energetic this morning. I noticed that my sheets were still tucked in about as tight as when I went to bed, meaning I didn’t toss and turn too much. Now all I have to do is figure out what I did to get such a restful sleep. Anyone have thoughts?
