It’s official I received an A in elementary arabic as well as 4 college credits (since I’m not pursuing another degree, they don’t really matter, but hey, they cost $1300.)

It’s not 100% OFFICIAL yet, but it looks like I got an A in Elementary Arabic.

I am taking my elementary arabic final tonight

I’m taking part in a beta test for a popular language software company, but I signed an NDA so I can’t talk about it.

I have fully completed the Level 1 Courses offered by both brands. I am also enrolled for Collegiate Level Elementary Arabic I and II this summer.

I have finished 30 lessons of Pimsleur’s Eastern Arabic. I still have to relisten to the last lesson but I made it through the preliminary course.

Now I just have to decide whether or not to buy the levels II and III right away, or whether to wait until I’m finished with my Summer Classes.

I got accepted to the Summer Program at Rutgers University to take Elementary Arabic I and Elementary Arabic II.

By August 13th, I’ll have 8 College Credits in Arabic, despite already having a B.A. in English and no actual need for college credits.

2 Lessons left on Speaking Arabic, and then I have a CD of Reading Lessons but each one only takes a few minutes, so I’ll be able to power through that while Jess is away this weekend.

I’m going to finish this rosetta stone if it kills me. I’m just really unmotivated since it can’t actually be spoken, and my reading hasn’t progressed nearly as much as my speaking. The concept of ‘written’ vs. ‘spoken’ is really hard to grasp.

I guess it could be compared to Harvard vs. Harlem but it seems more than that.

Just have a few exercises left in Level 1 of the Rosetta stone however the website is being finnicky. Also I have 3 unlistened to lessons left on Pimsleur, and Lesson 27 left to memorize completely.

The question arises when do I consider “arabic learned” and move on to a goal of a higher conversational/reading level.

I must be approaching the end of the ‘beginner level’.

What should be my ‘intermediate’ goals?
