Day Three Hundred and Sixty-Five: Finally! 14 months ago

My last day! I can’t believe I actually stuck with it and completed all 365 days (I didn’t miss a single day, even though there are some days I’m not proud of).

It was great fun but also kind of exhausting. I’m glad to be done, but I’m sure I’ll miss it, too. I know that I’ve become a better photographer over the last year.

Day Three Hundred and Sixty-Four: Almost 14 months ago

This is my second-to-last 365 Days self-portrait. I’m soooooo close!

Just to be clear, I really can touch my toes. My not-quite-there pose is purely for the sake of the photo. :-)

Day Three Hundred and Sixty-Three: I am ready 14 months ago

I am ready to be done. Yes I am.

Today was a good day. Stephen and I went to a huge antique mall and looked around for about 2 and a half hours. We saw maybe half of the place. He got a book for $0.75 and I got three pins, two necklaces, and a vintage hat. I’ll try to feature them soon.

Day Three Hundred and Sixty-Two: Golden 14 months ago

Once there was a way to get back homeward
Once there was a way to get back home
Sleep pretty darling do not cry
And I will sing a lullabye

Golden slumbers fill your eyes
Smiles awake you when you rise
Sleep pretty darling do not cry
And I will sing a lullabye

Once there was a way to get back homeward
Once there was a way to get back home
Sleep pretty darling do not cry
And I will sing a lullabye

—The Beatles

Day Three Hundred and Sixty-One: Lookout 14 months ago

What a long day. I did some more reading in the morning, did some heavy cleaning for about three hours, went to a choir rehearsal, and then went out to have dinner and go to Half Price Books with Stephen.

Day Three Hundred and Sixty: My Passion 14 months ago

I’ve always loved books. I learned to read when I was four and I’ve only very rarely been without a book since then. My love for books led me to an English major and then grad school in literature and teaching English. I’ve also got quite a collection at home and in my office at school. This photo shows only a small portion of my library. For better or for worse, this passion shows no signs of abating.

Day Three Hundred and Fifty-Nine: Intensity 14 months ago

I’m sooooooooo out of ideas. Despite that, I kind of like this one.

Day Three Hundred and Fifty-Eight: Reaching 14 months ago

Day Three Hundred and Fifty-Seven: Another first day 14 months ago

Today was the first day of class for the fall semester. I’m teaching one section of freshman writing and one section of American literature. I’d already forgotten how exhausting teaching can be.

Day Three Hundred and Fifty-Six: Motion 14 months ago

I’m pretty much out of ideas. I spent some time twirling around in my living room to get this shot.
