I’m up to a total of 48 pounds lost now, but I still have about 15 pounds to go. Maybe a bit less. I’m getting there :p

I lost about 35 pounds so far. As I suspected, the weight-loss slowed down slightly when I came closer to my “usual” weight. But I’m still losing.
So far, I’ve lost about 25 pounds – that means I’m about halfway there. The big news is that I joined a gym and I’m planing to go at least 2 days per week. Wish me luck :)
... my weight-loss has been surprisingly steady so far. If you’re losing weight and suffer from scale obsession, try to enter your measurements on PhysicsDiet. It’ll average your lost weight so it’s easier to see the “big picture”, or trend.
I’m satisfied with my performance so far. The only thing I don’t like is, that if I assume that I’ll keep losing weight at this rate, it’ll be another 8 months till I reach my final (?!) goal. But hey, time flys anyway.
Earlier, I wrote that eating slower helps me to eat less. Apparently that’s more common than I’d have thought: Health News: Eating Fast Until Full Triples Overweight Risk
So yeah, might be common sense, but if you eat too fast and feel you’re eating too much, you could try what I do now: put everything (!) you intend to eat on your plate, eat slowly and stop when you’re about 80% full :p
I’m still working on it. I dropped two pounds over the last 3 weeks, bringing the total to 16.5 pounds of lost weight.
Might be slow – but as long as I still keep losing weight I’m happy. But I should really work on increasing my physical activity step-by-step.
It’s been a bit over 6 weeks now and I’ve lost 14.5 pounds so far. I’m still using the same “strategy”: walking + a slight reduction in calories (without actually counting).
I suspect that it’ll become more difficult the closer I get to my “ideal” weight. But maybe not? It’s still a pretty long way to go though. Wish me luck :)
I lost a bit over 9 pounds this month, so eating more conciously and walking daily seems to pay off already. It’s funny that I managed to let years pass without doing much about it, and now I’m pretty much marking days.
Lately I found out that eating a bit slower helps me to eat less. It seems that my body needs a while to realize that I had enough already. I guess every little bit helps, no? :)
And I’m still walking, walking, walking…
From all I know so far, I’ll need a 500-1000 calorie deficit to lose about 1-2 pounds per week (in theory, of course).
For now I’ll concentrate on walking daily for at least 30 minutes and reducing what I eat. I’ll try to get a little “strength” exercise in every other day, but I’m not taking that part serious for now. Weight loss first.
