Get another dog

OMG I did it!!! I didn’t plan on doing this today, I was just going to look. I found two precious little dachshunds whose owner had died. They were perfect. I ran home to get my two dogs. The meeting went pretty well. They were totally snubbed by my “queen”, which was to be expected. You know how royalty can be. I’m sure she’ll come around. The two will be joining our family Monday afternoon. I can’t wait.

P.S. These were hard to place shelter dogs (4 & 9 years old, had to be kept together, and needing expensive dental work). If you can’t adopt a shelter pet, at least drop by and donate a bag of food.

I’ve been talking about this for a long time. I have two wonderful little dogs that just turned 14. They are inseparable and I worry about how the one left behind will handle the death of her best friend. After 14 years I also can’t imagine life without at least two dogs. For all of our sakes, it seems like a good idea to add a new dog to our family before one of my two dies. I have to stop talking about this and do it. My babies are not getting any younger.
