Participate in PostCrossing

I love the colors in this card from Finland.

Thats a first for me, guess it will be at least a week before I receive anymore. I started uploading scans of the cards to: http://www.flickr.com/groups/postcrossing/

I may be doing this for years to come but I will leave it on my list until I hit the 1 year mark.

I am still enjoying postcrossing. Each new postcard gives me a glimpse into a different part of the world. I have been looking up the senders town with Google Earth and reading about the area from other sites. Lots of fun.

I can find local travel type cards and that is great for postcrossing but it seems that postcards for writing to your friends is a dieing medium. I guess it’s because of the net and email. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE email but there is something to be said for being able to physically touch a postcard that traveled through time and space to your mailbox. I received another card today. Although I have never met this person they are responsible for making me smile. Pretty good trick from thousands of miles away.

Received my 2nd postcard today. The First from Germany and the 2nd from the Netherlands. I have had a lot of fun so far and it’s only the first few weeks.

Signed up and just sent out the first 5 cards. This could be addictive :-)
