I come from a long line of amazing Southern cooks. My paternal grandmother also had a home-based business making wedding cakes and mints – she did beautiful work, and everything she made tasted like heaven. My sister got the genes – she can raid her pantry, throw a bunch of random stuff in a casserole dish, and turn out a delicious dinner. I burn frozen pizza. I’m an embarrassment to my genes.
