Read the "1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die"

No progress in June. I read two books in July from the list. It’s slow going.

I only read one book from the list in May. Fury by Salman Rushdie. I didn’t like it. I’ve been reading other stuff that’s not on the list lately. I’m still at 18% read.

Read 9 books from the list in March. That’s good progress. I’m just under 18% on the full list now.

In January, I read 14 books from the list. In February I slowed down a bit. I completed 6 books. That’s 20 for this year so far which is over 25% of my 2009 goal. So far, so good!

Currently I’m reading Don Quixote.

I am at 16% completed now. I’m currently reading Islands by Dan Sleigh.

My goal for 2009 is to complete 75 books from the list. In January, I read 14 books. 61 books to go!

I had a goal for 2008 to read 100 books from this list, but only made it to 63. I got stuck reading The Unconsoled. It took forever. This year (2009) I’m setting a goal of 75 books.

I’m not reading the books in any particular order. Lately most of them have been from the end of the book but I’ve also been reading from the beginning and the middle. I’m at about 15 percent on the list from the 2006 edition. About 10 percent on the 2008 edition of the book.

I bought the book earlier this year and decided to read at least 100 books from it’s list this year. Right now I am at 29 books.
