I just finished my first dress, which I made from this Betsy Ross pattern – http://www.betsyrosspatterns.com/patterns/013.html. It really wasn’t all that bad. I’d post a pic of me modeling it, but I’m feeling very unphotogenic lately, so for now a hanger pic will have to suffice.
I might be a bit naive, but I just ordered this pattern from Betsy Ross. Am I ready to make an actual, wearable dress? Probably not, but it will be an adventure, anyway.
I’m doing pretty well with this. I made Christmas stockings to hang from the fireplace and I also made a holiday pillowcase with a piece of fabric I was saving. Nothing too complicated yet, but I’m getting there.
I’ve already taken a few classes and have made a pillow, curtains, a tote bag and a pot holder, but I’m ready to branch out into more complicated things.
