A few weeks ago I decided to make a huge list of all the things we’ve never done in the city, and all the restaurants we’ve never been to. I put it up on the fridge so every time the weekend is coming up and we’re not sure what to do, or we feel like going out but aren’t sure where, we can just consult the list.
Last weekend we went to the Academy of Natural Sciences, which was pretty small but still, it was lovely and nostalgic to see all those dinosaur bones and dioramas of the Serengeti plains – it reminded me of being a kid at the Museum of Natural History in New York.

We went to PAFA this weekend and it was lovely! What an amazing building, tucked away where you’d least expect it. We had the place practically to ourselves, and got a 2 hour one-on-one tour from a docent.
If you’re in Philly I highly recommend it!

...the art museum! Greg had gotten us a membership for my birthday, so we went to see the Arshile Gorky exhibit. We tagged along on a tour and it was definitely worth it. Two more visits and the membership will pay for itself!

On Sunday we took a long walk around Old City and walked down Elfreth’s Alley (the oldest residential street in Philly), which I’d never been to. Yay for exploring!

I want to spend this summer exploring the city more. I know next to nothing about Philly and I’ve lived here for six years.
