Went to the Collingswood farmer’s market today. What a fantastic market – it’s big, festive, cheap, and there’s always a band playing. I just wish it weren’t 20-or-so minutes and a $4 toll away. I find that the farmer’s markets in the city are sort of dinky and expensive though. The Clark Park one is ok, but the only decent one in walking distance is the super expensive Headhouse market. And of course there’s the Italian market but the produce there is half dead and I’m pretty sure it’s not local. Ahh well, a drive over to Collingswood is a nice Saturday morning activity anyway.

...of the year when I can actually work on this goal, although it’s more difficult than I thought. I went to one a few weeks ago in a ritzy neighborhood where the arugula was $4 a bunch, no thanks. This weekend we went to a lovely one over in New Jersey, but that involves a going over a toll bridge. There’s one in my neighborhood on Wednesday nights, but there’s like three stands and they’re all very expensive. Maybe this weekend we’ll try the one in Clark Park.
