January wrap up

Well, January’s goals didn’t go so well.

1. open my Etsy shop
- I am really close to doing this, I have my inventory all set. Definitely this week.

2. keep to my weekday evening schedule
- I actually did this pretty well. I cleaned on Mondays, crafted on Tuesdays & Thursdays, and had dates with Greg on Wednesdays.

3. post holiday detox – no fried foods, alcohol only once (okay, maybe twice) per week
- This didn’t go so well. I definitely didn’t eat many fried things, but I did still drink quite a bit. Still not as much as at holiday time though, so it wasn’t a total loss.

4. open myself up to inspiration
- I think I’ve done pretty well with this. I’ve really kept up with my blogs, taken notes about ideas that I’ve had, and generally just tried to keep more of an open mind to foster creativity.

5. officially start The Artist’s Way program
- I sort of did this, but haven’t really technically kept up with it fully.

Ok, so not quite as bad as I thought. But I have a lot more goals on tap for February, so I need to keep up!



Week 2 Progress

Well, the last week didn’t go so fantastic.

- I drank more than the allotted twice (4 times, actually)
- I had fries on Saturday

But although I technically fell off the wagon, the original purpose of those goals was really just to break the cycle of eating a lot of junk, which I’ve sort of been accomplishing. So I don’t feel too too bad about it.

The Artist’s Way isn’t going so great either. I have been doing my morning pages more often than not, but haven’t done any artist dates. I also didn’t do the exercises for last week. Maybe I’ll do that tonight.

Etsy stuff is coming along though. I think I’ll be on schedule for opening up next week.

“Open myself up to inspiration” is a pretty vague goal, but overall I think I’m achieving it.

Oh, and weekday schedule is still going pretty strong. I’ve been relatively focused and productive as a result.

I’m also adding a goal that I forgot to put on my original list:
- sell our hallway desk on Craigslist



Week 1 Progress

- Have been building up some inventory for my future Etsy shop
- Kept to the weeknight schedule all week!
- Haven’t eaten any fried foods (this might seem easy enough to most people, but not for me!)
- Had one glass of wine last night, and will probably have a couple of drinks tonight, but that’s ok according to my goals.
- Started back up with the Artist’s Way
