The best experience you can live through

I am so glad that I got on and did this. I completed the AFF course at Freefall University, Ocana, Spain. Its the most amazing sensation. The feeling of acheivment afer a good skydive is unbeatable.

I want to do this for the rest of my life!

(yes, it is me in the photo!)

Booked!

A quick update from my last post about the Freefall University in Spain. I’m now booked up to be there from May 20th to 30th!

I’m soooo looking forward to then!!!

AFF Course at the Free Fall University!

This weekend I was thinking about what I might do to holiday and the whole skydiving thing drifted across my mind, so I got searching on the web.

I’ve found a place in Spain that calls itself the FreeFall University. I’ve been on the phone to them today to check availabilty and prices, and hopefully (as long as I can get the time off work) I’ll be heading over there for a week in May to complete the Accelerated Free Fall (AFF) course.

I’m already buzzing with excitement, I can’t wait to get out there :-D

Did a static line jump

I always wanted to do a parachute and a freefall jump, since I was a teenager. While I was at university in Exeter I had the opportunity so I went to Dunkeswell and did the training, and a couple weeks later I actually did my first static-line parachute jump.

A static-line jump is when you have a fixed cord between you and the plane which pulls the parachute for you. This gives about 3 seconds of freefall, not that you really have chance to notice that!

It was an amazing experience that I hope to repeat, and I hope this time I’ll do enough jumps to progress to a full freefall skydive!
