This will work!!! Have started program through the cardiac rehab unit of our hospital. Basically I walk around indoors on Tuesdays and I exercise on machines etc. on Thursdays. This runs for 6 months and hopefully I will start walking at home as well. We are to aim for 30 mins. 3 – 5 times a week. I am in bad shape. I didn’t even make 3 minutes on my stress test before my pulse was at 166 but slow and steady should do the trick. I am going to invest in a heart-rate monitor wristwatch so I’m not overdoing it. If I get out of breath it freaks me out. I’ve had 2 different types of arrythmias and my only brother (age 41) dropped dead last year from unknown causes but the guess is “a cardiac event”. So now I’m scared but I need to exercise more than ever.
