I like being the only one of me – I don’t want to share this one thing!
I had a small taste of identity theft a few years ago. It was from a family member so I didn’t report it. I just had to live with that black mark on my credit report for over 3 years.
I read all the newspaper stories about how thieves hacked into TJ Maxx’s data stream and got all the shopper’s info. I shop there all the time. UGH.. I hope they didn’t get mine.
I want to get identity theft protection because I don’t want to have to go through all the awful things people say you have to do when your identity is stolen. I saw an full page ad in the paper last week from a company that does this protection. It had the CEO’s social security number in HUGE print. That’s being pretty darn sure of your abilities to deliver.
I think I’ll go sign up – it’s not expensive and it will be one less thing I have to worry about.
