Nakasendō

A lot tougher than I expected but fun too and the views were amazing. I’ll post some more photos and write about it soon.

29/10/09 was my last day of work for the year. Off to Japan early Monday morning!

it’s all in Japanese but the maps are fantastic

This was all up in the air until today, costs & my girlfriend’s work commitments were a bit of a hurdle but the tickets were really cheap so damn the consequences.

The Nakasendo would be an interesting challenge, it’s an inland walk from Tokyo to Kyoto. I looked it up on the net this morning and found a brilliant blog of someone who is attempting it soon:

If I’m to do it I’ll want a month to walk it this time, then maybe a month in Tokyo with Yuko afterward to get a feel for living there.
