There are great bargains to be had in new homes in California right now. New builders are hurting to get rid of inventory and they will sell up to 25 percent below market value. I just invested in a Centex home. I also got them to hold the loan at an insane rate by having the seller (them) buy down the paper. If I wanted to flip I probably could already make about $40,000. Who knew? I have been watching Section 8 stuff in Michigan for the past year, and low and behold I should have been doing my diligence in my own backyard.
