I’m not quite crap enough to go in the ‘learn to play the piano’ category, but not as good as most of the people who have posted entries here.
I learnt to play things like Moonlight Sonata by painfully going through the score and learning each bit off by heart, but I can’t read music (except if I do it really really slowly), and I struggle to reach chords more than an octave apart (maybe that’s the family legacy of short stubby fingers).
I don’t think there is much hope of me getting good now that I’m 26 and have too many other competing priorities, it’s just that I have such a love of music, and I think that my appreciation for it far surpasses my ability to play it.
