It is so hard getting backing into the “strum” (haha) of things. I used to play so long ago, and I try to make myself practice at least twice a week. Every time I feel uninspired and confused. I am looking for a book or website that acts as lessons, with warm-ups, strumming/ finger practice, and cool songs. Sigh. I’ve found some great websites for one or two of the above, but I feel like I need more organization.

Alice wants politicians to support teachers has written 2 entries about this goal
Years ago, with time to devote, I actually became quite skilled. Although I began guitar with the intention of being the best female lead guitarist of a metal band ever, somehow that evolved (with maturity and when reality set in) into classical, blues, and folk. When I lost my Ovation round-back accoustic-electric (with pearl inlays!) in a fire, I couldn’t pick up a guitar, any guitar, for years after. How lame! And now I feel like I’m learning to walk again….
