practice 'Happiness Manifesto' periodically

I am so very thankful:
1. for having a good chat with my brother
2. for having a good chat with T despite him being in a relationship now…he hasn’t forgotten his friends!
3. for quiet evenings at home playing guitar
4. for getting at least some things accomplished on my never ending to-do list
5. for air conditioning

I am so thankful that:
1. it’s summer so I forget what the date is
2. that I met a great man who reminded me that romance exists, despite him not living within dating distance
3. meeting awesome peeps at Cinevegas
4. having breakfast at 3 am at the Peppermill
5. feeling pretty lately (must be all the sleep)

I am thankful for:
1. Summer being sooooo very near!
2. A good day with responsive students (who are ALSO doing the Happiness Manifesto as a lesson!)
3. Thunderstorms immanent (but not dangerous). We need rain so badly here.
4. My backyard finally finished being xeroscaped and a forgiving HOA giving me the green light to finish the front yard, too
5. Pizza and beer Sundays

I want to thank everyone on this team for your powerful messages…receiving them in my emails reminds me daily to keep happy and be thankful. I’ve been gone from this site too long…so therefore, I’m thankful:
1. to be back!
2. for seeing my best friend and her kids today after work
3. for watching ridiculously cheesy Highlander (but damn he’s hot) with another good friend while eating organic mac n cheese with dill bread and lemonade
4. for sleeping last night for the first time in 6 months (I mean REAL sleep where I didn’t wake up 4 times and I didn’t need a nap today at all)
5. for my beautiful backyard finally being done (IT’S THE BEST XEROSCAPE EVER!)

Lovely days come in surprising packages. Therefore, I am utterly thankful for:
1. My best friend’s healthy second pregnancy
2. The boys I coach respecting me
3. My creative writing classes
4. My new Moroccan lamps
5. Knowing that human beings are so interconnected that even strangers on other continents can effect one another. Or is it affect? I should know…I teach English! Sigh…..

I feel blessed because:
1. My house is starting to “design itself” and is finally looking like the designs I had in mind
2. I finally got up off my ass and played pick up soccer with “the boys” yesterday then had pizza and beer with them after
3. A HUUUGE compliment today on my dancing from a very hard nut to crack director
4. Finally cleaning out half of my garage
5. Finding and buying the Moroccan lamps I’ve been dying for! =0)

1. C coming back from Isreal safely…and bringing goodies to share!
2. The quiet of my house
3. An awesome hike today to pools of water I swam in with a friend I don’t spend much time with
4. My ankle healing enough from Friday to be able to go to dance rehersals today
5. Making the most amazing dinner and being able to eat it while it’s hot

Today is the second Monday of my summer vacation, and the first day without classes, part-time job, or any appointments of any sort. Therefore, I’m thankful for:
1. sleeping in
2. waking up to a text from the cute guy I met over the weekend
3. finally getting my bedroom in better order
4. hiking on a gorgeous trail this afternoon with a great friend
5. packing for my trip to California tomorrow =0)

Although I absolutley lost my temper with one of my classes today, I still have to be positive and be thankful for:
1. my other two classes that did not drive me to the brink of retirement
2. spending time with my friend S’s son, snuggling with him after ice cream and tickle time
3. my closeness to H-she’s become more of a support to me than I could have ever hoped for
4. S possibly having her twins on my upcoming bday! Yay!
5. Getting one small step closer to financial security

1. my jobs, because that means I have money
2. my cute new neighbor—MUST MEET!
3. having a picnic with my family on sunday
4. starting to eat healthy again and enjoy it
5. finally being cleared of pneumonia! Yay!
