Although I’m not taking classes currently, I am teaching an anthro unit in my lit class…it’s fabulous! It mimics anthropological research but with a book very specific to one type of culture. It’s great to do whilst waiting to study more for myself. Yay me!

My undergrad was two degrees-English Literature and cultural anthropology. I was somehow derailed into believing there was more opportunity in lit than anthro-and here I am teaching. Oh well! But now is my opportunity to change that and follow what I really wanted—a masters degree in anthro. I think I’ve forgotten everything, though! And to top it off, don’t want a degree at the only local uni (UNLV) so will have to find a one year program and live there for a year, taking a leave of absence with no guarentee of coming back to teach at the same wonderful high school that I am at now. Is it worth it???
