Was the most beautiful baby.
She still is.
Amber was born via caesarian section in a hospital in Hampstead, London back in 1994.
I kid you not, this girl was born smiling. :) When they pulled her out of the womb, the surgeon passed her around the curtain (shielding the op ) Amber had this huge smile on her face, with these big beautiful blue eyes. I said ‘hello’ and cried pure tears of joy.It is a memory that will live with me forever.
Im gonna get good at this painting thing eventually, its just practice I guess.
Ive got some great picture of the kids that I’d like to commit to canvaas some day.
I think it would be cool to be able to reach the standard of an ‘old master’. I doubt I’ll ever get there (I dont think I have the requisite passion or talent), but its a nice thought nonetheless.

I bought some oils and some canvas a few months back and painted 2 pictures from photos.
They are very raw and rushed, but I did enjoy doing them.
Ive a lot to learn and have had no training and have read no books.
I just got the paint, drew what I was painting in light pencil then proceeded to slap a lot of paint on the canvas.
I found hair really tough, and was amazed at the amount of shades I had to apply to get a flesh look for skin and stuff.
It was very absorbing though, I did enjoy getting lost in it, especially marvelling at the intricasies of things like eyes! They are pretty amazing things when you look real close and try and replicate them.
I think I gotta read some though, and also accept that Im not going to paint the Mona Lisa in six hours flat!
Also gotta remember to wear an old top too..;-)
