...Flagged me down in my car.His wife couldn’t get up the pavement in her chair (low battery, bald tyres??) so I helped her up the kerb (thank god she wasn’t a lump), got a thanks very much dear in return and got back in my car.
It’s nice to help others, we could all do with slowing down a little and doing our bit for people less fortunate.

I think this is one of those goals that could accrue a whole lot of entries. Anyone care for a define kindness tete a tete? Nah, me neither.
I looked at this a moment ago and said to myself hmmn, I haven’t made any entries on this for a while, but then I thought, so what, it doesn’t really matter does it.
Sure, its good to blow ones own trumpet on occassions, give yaself a pat on the back and all that jazz, but you can overdo it too.Better to just get on with it and do the occassional write up.
Its good to have it high up on a list though, acts as a daily prompt.

I bought a newspaper on the way into work.
I gave the lady an extra 35p and asked her to let the next person buying a paper have it for free.
This is a fun thing to do, especially when they look at you a little incredulously at 1st before smiling knowlingly.
I think it might be best to randomise this approach so you don’t do it in the same places or with the same items.
I drove away imagining some scenario whereby someone in Southgate on their way to work in the rain, would be pleasantly surpised to be told, ‘hey, no, you don’t have to pay for this sir, someone already did earlier’
It started my day with a smile, and all for just 35 pence! :D

I am going to go to the local shop and speak with the shopkeeper. I am going to give him a small sum of money – £5 say, and ask him to knock it off the bill of a person who he thinks is struggling a little. Maybe a single mum, or an old girl.

I think this is a great goal!
I read about this very recently in a little book called ‘don’t sweat the small stuff’ by Robert Carlson.
I read about these San Francisco toll bridges and how people were finding that their tolls had been paid by the car in front. Many of the recipients recounted that as a result they had a great day and were especially kinder to others, more productive, happier people. All because some stranger did something nice for them. :-)
Maybe it should be some kind of an 11th commandment ;-)
