New approach needed 14 months ago

Today I have cancelled my gym membership. I haven’t been for 3 months now and if I’m completely honest with myself, it’s not because I haven’t had time. It’s because I find it extremely boring. I would much rather be outdoors taking a walk through a beautiful park than on the treadmill.



Not quite admitting defeat 15 months ago

- but have not been to the gym for nearly 2 months now (cringe). Longer working days and shorter daylight hours (already twilight by 7pm now!) mean that I just feel like hibernating and want to get home asap.

I think that if I don’t manage to get back there soon, then I should bite the bullet, cancel my membership and try to find something else to do that will get me exercising again.

Not doing so well with this lately. Admittedly, a tummy bug laid me low for a few days, but that was over a week ago! Going to go out for a long walk later – especially as the sun is out.

Went to the gym today, and determined to go tomorrow. Then only need to go once more to meet this weekly goal.

I hope that I’ve built up enough momentum now to keep on going. Someone said to me that after 3 months it’ll be instinctive. At the moment, I have to keep on reminding myself to go.
