It is all rough at this point. I will have to go back and tighten up the language and the dialogue to get the right feel- I will be liberally stealing slang from Heyer novels as well as bad trashy historical romances. But for the next few months, my big concern is to get the ideas on paper. I regularly think about this project, ideas run through my brain at all sorts of odd moments. But like so much of my work- because it feels so real, so vivid when played out on my brain’s stage, it is easy to not do the work to put it out into the world.
Feels good to get some another scene on paper. Scene by scene is how to build it.
