But that’s only because the metabolic plan I’m on has extremely reduced caloric intake, and she says some people have passed out adding exercise to that.
But once I’m all adjusted – maybe next week? – I should be fine to start walking.
I think I’ll walk the dog – she’d love to get out more, and she deserves to be spoiled a little.

I was swimming almost daily, and even doing other things I never used to do (like when I took my summer class to “House of Bounce,” instead of just watching the kids I took off my shoes and bounced in all the air castles right along with them).
But lately I’ve become a couch potato again, and like before – I have no energy. . .

But as we say in my weight loss group:
“Tomorrow starts a new week.”

but its also a failure, cause I didn’t get in 30 whole minutes each workout, which is what the President’s challenge requires. . .
So next week I’ll try again.
Last night, I just plain didn’t feel like exercising, and that was it for my chance at 5 days of 30 mins each. (I signed up on a tuesday or wednesday or something, and so my “week” runs odd).
But the website is cool, and it helps to log everything and be able to go back and see your progress.

Have a take-home final exam due tomorrow at 4pm. Exercise actually seemed like a better alternative, so I just juggled for a warm up and then hopped onto the elliptical.
Now, I can remember when I first started USING an elliptical at the gym how long it took me to work up my endurance, but after a few months I was able to do either two twenty minute sessions broken up by some strength training, or one thirty minute session.
Then I couldn’t afford the gym anymore, so I just went to a used sporting goods store and bought a brand new elliptical that was a fraction of the original cost – because the ramp/thingie is broken (it can’t go up, so the gym didnt want it) but I figured I dont need the ramp, I can just go for longer periods of time. (Running UPhill? no thanks :p)
So once I had my own ellipitical in my own living room, I started all over again, and again had to work UP to doing a 10 minute session. For some reason I quit before I broke the 10 minute barrier.
And just now, I hopped on for the first time in MONTHS, and was BARELY able to do 5 minutes. After a warmup.
Which only proves to me that I need to start doing this, and walking the dog, and juggling (or any combination thereof) daily again.
B/c I should not be unable to continue after only 5 minutes. Breathing hard, yes – heart rate up to the MAX of my target?
Unacceptable.
