I need focus 3 years ago

I don’t practice anymore.

While I haven’t forgotten what I’ve already figured out, I’ll never get any better if I don’t keep at it. I can still do the scarves, but I’m still totally helpless with the balls.

How do I get to Carnegie Hall??

Well I do know one thing for SURE about juggling. . . 3 years ago

I will NEVER learn if I don’t practice.

Shame on me!

Find those scarves and USE them!

So I took my scarves home for Christmas 3 years ago

Gotta keep practicing, if I’m going to get any better, right?

So then my mom says to me, “your dad can juggle.” Huh?

So I hand him the scarves, and he says “well I’ve never used scarves before, just balls and oranges. But I’ll give it a shot.”

And he tosses them, and then drops one on the floor, and I struggle not to smirk. Then he tosses again, drops one. Then he tosses a third time, and keeps it going forEVER!!! It was sickening how fast he picked it up.

So then I went and got oranges from the kitchen – and said “show me.” And he did. Even though he hadn’t done it in a long while.

And me – I can only keep the scarves going for about two minutes tops, and with the juggling balls or oranges, I can do one perfectly, but when I try two I can’t catch the one I throw with my left hand because I can’t toss in a good arc, and three is just a comedy of oranges hitting the floor, with NOTHING being caught.

Sickening.

Still having fun :) 3 years ago

Tried to teach my little brother (he’s eight) and he had a BLAST. He was giggling so much at times that he couldn’t even concentrate on what I was explaining. He even spun in a few circles from his giddiness.

Easiest time I ever had babysitting for my dad and stepmom!! (Not that he’s ever bad, he just sometimes wants me to take him places and spend money I don’t always have. . .)

But I can still only do the scarves – and not the balls. Just cant seem to catch those things.

My scarves arrived today 3 years ago

They got here so fast!

I am SUCH a spaz, but that only makes juggling even MORE of a cardio workout for me, since I’m constantly running after a runaway (thrown-away is more like it) scarf.

But I read online that not ONLY is juggling a cardio activity, it will also help to increase my balance and my hand-eye coordination.

Which a klutz like me needs :)

Last night in PE class they had us juggle scarves 3 years ago

And it was FUN.

(It’s a TEACHING PE class, not actual PE. So we have a lot of lecture, on how we’re going to teach health concepts to little kids – but sometimes we get to do fun stuff, too.)

Yes, I was a total spaz. And I kept trying to “throw” them like juggling balls, which is the wrong technique for scarves. But for about thirty seconds, three separate times – I HAD IT!!

And we did it for about ten minutes, and most of us were breathing faster. Not out of breath – but it was movement, and it was upper body movement which I need more of. And it was FUNNNNNNNN.

I already found the same scarves we used last night in class on amazon.com, and had my best friend in the world order them for me as my Christmas gift. Cheapie gift – but its close to what I spent on her, and this way I get something I can use. Plus, we’re both working on our degrees, with no income other than student loans, so we need to be cheapie this year.

Once I get my Masters I’ll buy better stuff, for now, she gets whats on my christmas shopping goal entries.

I can’t wait until they get here!!!
