Am reading up on Dave Ramsey 2 years ago

Currently reading Financial Peace.

So far it’s okay, except that he keeps mentioning savings with 10% interest rates, and those kinds of accounts just plain don’t exist!

Maybe they did back in 1992??

Eighty Bucks at the Dollar Store 2 years ago

on stuff for my classroom.

Then another hundred at Walmart on chicken, crystal lite, diet rite, and and bubble mailers. . . at least, it feels like that’s all I got!!

And the flavorings I bought for my vanilla protein shakes were just bad. Icky to the core. I’m sticking to chocolate.

Blew it again... 2 years ago

Blew it totally! I’m ALL messed up for the month of January.

All I can do is lay down some rules for February, and STICK TO THE DARN BUDGET.

I'm really, really, really screwed so far this month 2 years ago

I overspent MAJORLY on after Christmas sales, and now I’m PUSHING it to just make it to the 15th. . .

I really, really, really need to be more careful with that debit card!

I'm doing well 2 years ago

I need to make time to sit down and WRITE what I’ve spent so far this month if this is going to work.

BUT, I did go to Walmart today and bought NOTHING. They didn’t have what I was there for at as cheap a price as the dollar store, so I didn’t get anything at all.

Also spent less than nine bucks at Walgreens today on clearance for next year’s Christmas. Can’t beat that :D

I've taken the first step 2 years ago

And hand written out some thing resembling a budget. It isn’t bad, and it leaves me a little play money each month for my Lush and Isle of Eden obsessions.

But I need to rework the food part, since I’m doing the diet now and will have to pay for supplements. And the school paid me early for the first of January, and I’ve already been a bad girl since the new year hasn’t started yet and it didn’t “count” yet. So I need to rework January.

I need a book that will fit into my purse, to record all expenses in. To keep receipts in, for tax purposes, and tracking of how I spend my money purposes. A smallish journal, and a nice pen to write with. . .
